What facilities a Suite Must Have

A hotel Suite must have following facilities:

•   Where is the hotel located? Does it offer convenient access to the airport and other important areas in town?
•    Fair pricing with a safe, clean facility that includes comfortable beds, climate control depending on the weather, storage for personal belongings and all utilities in working order. The room must be spacious and have adequate lighting for reading and preferably be soundproof so as to not hear noises from the room next door.
•    What is the checkout time? Some have 12-hour while others offer 24-hour check outs.
•    What about special package rates?
•    Kitchenette, in room coffee and tea
•    Does the hotel offer room service and elevators to reach your room? This could be important if you travel with those who cannot use the staircase.
•    Free WiFi, high speed internet connection, telephone, high definition television set
•    Free toiletries in the bathroom if you are the kind of traveler who likes to travel with minimal baggage.
•    An adequate number of easily accessible electrical outlets to allow you to plug in your laptop, charge your gadgets (your phone, camera, etc.)
•    Do they offer complimentary meals, if so, which ones? Breakfast is always convenient for those who are in town on business as it means spending less time looking for a restaurant
•    An in-house restaurant that can rustle up a meal after you have had a long day out
•    A space to dry wet clothes such as a swimsuit.
•    Laundry facilities
•    Towels and fresh linen
•    An in-room refrigerator to cool water and store refrigerated medications, especially if you are a family traveling with small children.
•    Is there a fitness center to help you stay fit when you travel?
•    Is there a clean swimming pool?
•    What about spa facilities so that you can relax when you are on holiday?
•    Is the price quoted all inclusive?
•    Is there free parking – this is important if you are traveling by car
•    Is there a business center in the hotel?
•    Are there meeting rooms, conference and banquet facilities if you plan to hold meetings?
•    Is the hotel pet friendly? If you are traveling with pets you want them to be as comfortable as you are.
•    Are there entertainment facilities such as a pool room, a casino, etc.?
•    Can you pay by credit card securely?

Freight Shaker Parking

Truckers are hardworking people. They traverse all kinds of terrain and travel thousands of miles to transport goods regardless of the weather to meet stringent time deadlines. There is nothing more exciting than the sight of a freight shaker parking lot attached to a hotel where the truck driver can slow down, park, stretch his limbs and look forward to a shower and hot food followed by some rest and relaxation.

In Edmonton, Hotels with freight shaker parking provides various facilities to truckers like fueling station, diner, showers, a video arcade & a movie theater too. They are mostly located at a convenient point off the highway, but slightly away from the main town.

For truckers who are on a tight budget, freight shaker parking can be a suitable option as they can get fuel at lower prices along with other amenities they cannot expect from regular hotels that obviously do not encourage trucker parking because of the lack of space. In such cases, the trucker must look for specific truck stops like the Yellowhead Inn where there is ample free parking.
