Overnight Parking at RV Truck Stops

Some RVers have frequent fueler cards for truck stop brands. Be sure to use yours, if you have one. It will lower your fuel bill, and any other purchases will help in earning you freebies and points.

With the price of fuel still high, it makes sense for RVers to save money when they can, by parking overnight at RV truck stops. You can save the money you would normally have to pay for a campground every night, and maybe thus add an extra day or two to your trip.

Why Truck Stops?

Many travel centers and stops cater to RVers today, especially RVers who have big rigs. Loves, TAs, Pilots and Flying Js are found en route to Edmonton and near other destinations in Canada. Once you know your exact destination, check for locations along your route.

They often have water and dump stations, in addition to propane, fuel and other essentials. It's handy to fuel up when you arrive and then you're ready to head out again the next morning, says H S Cooper Blog.

More Helpful Guidelines for RV Truck Stops

Be sure not to put your slides out when you park overnight at an RV truck stop. This is also not a good idea in retail lots. If your RV layout is blocking any storage area in the vehicle, be sure to move things so that you can get to them overnight. There are no awnings used in truck stops and no camping chairs.

Patronize the truck stop where you are parked. Find items in the store or buy fuel. Have something to eat in their restaurant. You'd be surprised at how good some of the food is. Your goal is saving money, so you won't want to spend a lot. You're just buying something as a courtesy to the truck stop proprietors.

Come and experience the Yellowhead Inn, because we’re better. Call us at 1-780-447-2400 or toll free 1-888-296-7380. For more details read original source here

Semi Truck Parking in Hotels: Avoid Penalties

Semi truck parking on local municipal streets has become a problem for many in Alberta and other regions of Canada. As they have enough issues with a lack of parking, many municipalities are cracking down on semis by fining them an average of $250 per ticket. That's a hefty price tag for a night's stay. Most people paying that for a single night would expect a full breakfast and turn-down service.

Free Semi Truck Parking in Alberta

So what are truckers to do? Where can the find legal, reasonable semi truck parking along their routes? Truck rest stops are few and far between, and they don't always space out to that magical ten-hour spot. If a driver has to choose between stopping three hours early or pressing on over the ten-hour mark, he'll most likely press on. These men make their money by getting goods in on time or early. A premature stop could make a huge difference in a paycheck. If truckers can only stop at rest stops, and they press on, extending their drive time, they're essentially being forced to put themselves and everyone else on the road in danger. Fortunately, there's a solution.

How to find Perfect Banquet Rooms in Edmonton

Banquet rooms are popular venues for business meetings, conferences, family reunions and personal get-togethers. They come with a variety of options, depending on the hotel and finding the perfect one for your needs will require some research, advance planning and booking ahead to ensure availability.

What to expect:
Hotels with a good reputation for customer service are always in high demand and if you shortlist one that meets your criteria, locking in the dates with the facility is a good idea. Many businesses book as early as one year in advance to make sure that it is available. This means, event planning must begin earlier so that a few places can be checked out and compared before finalizing the one that is idea. While location is a critical point, sometimes it is worthwhile to go a little farther if everything else is perfect. Here are some tips to do this:
  • Depending on the event being planned and the dates, confirm availability
  • Does the place fit into your budget?
  • Do you need catering? Can the hotel provide what you want?
  • Is there ample parking facility?
  • What about gratuity?
  • What is the cost of setting up the banquet room?
  • Is the furniture included?
  • If it is a business meeting, can they provide equipment like projectors, fax machines, telephones and other things you need?
  • Check to see if the size of the place can accommodate the guest list you have in mind.
  • The service must live up to your expectations so that your guests are well cared for.
  • Can you see their health inspection documents to reassure yourself that their service is clean and food is handled hygienically?
  • Do you need bar services? Can they provide it?
  • Depending on the weather at the time of your event, appropriate facilities must be available. Good ventilation and temperature control is a must.
  • Are there enough rest rooms and are they clean?
  • What about refunds and cancellation charges?
  • Can you book online?
After you have all the information and are satisfied that the venue you shortlisted is the best choice, the first thing to do is make the booking to block the date and time. Find out if the venue can offer you any discount deals. Most hotels offer special packages based on the duration of the booking. The package must include the cost of hiring the place, catering, audio visual equipment, use of specific facilities and service so that you need not look for anything else. The contract resulting from this will have terms and conditions which must be clearly stated and endorsed by both parties.

Finally, if possible, visit the venue personally to see the banquet rooms edmonton. If this is not feasible, look at the photographs and reviews of the hotel. Picking the perfect banquet room can appear to be a difficult task, but once you have the above information, it is easy.
